Espoo Women's Open 2026

The traditional and award‑winning badminton tournament for women and girls, Espoo Women’s Open 2025, is back! On February 28th at Esport Center, both new hobby players and Finland’s top athletes will take the courts — from under‑11 juniors to senior women, each in their own categories within one shared event.

The competition is renewing its format, and two new hobby categories are being introduced for women. No license or club membership is required to participate in the hobby series.

• NK- and NN‑kunto are intended for women who have already played more in hobby-level competitions. Players who have participated in a few C‑level tournaments are also welcome.
• NK- and NN‑rento are for less experienced players and those just starting to compete.

The event will also include junior hobby categories:

• TK‑11 hobby (born 2016 or later)
• TK‑13 hobby (born 2014–2015)
• TK‑15 hobby (born 2012–2013)

Registration for hobby categories is open until 13 February 2026 by email to elina.h.vaisanen (a) gmail.com. Please include: name, category, date of birth for junior categories, possible club, and the preferred size of the free tournament shirt. All registrations will receive a reply — please make sure you get a confirmation email.

Entry fees for hobby categories:

• Women: NK €26, NN €20/player
• Juniors: TK €20

Registration for the official SSuL competition categories is done via Tournamentsoftware by February 13th 2026. Categories include: Valio, A, B, C, U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, U19, 35+, 45+.
